Oodi (ode) central library is a present for the 100 years old independent Finland……it’s supposed to serve the next 150 years……the library should still be here when we no longer read our books from paper.
Alvar Aalto designed the Helsinki landmark so that from a specific spot it seems to have a tower. But it actually belongs to the National Museum.
Helsinki main street is behind the white Finlandia Hall that is 500 meters from the crossroads that many see as the capital’s center point.
