On the Road – Around the World

When travelling overland from Johannesburg to Nairobi in 2002 I often felt that the most interesting things were happening by the roads and not in the places where we stopped. Some years later I started to take photos from my moving transports.

A job with a view somewhere between Bled and Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Our bus windows in Jordan made things look a bit different.

Cairo, Egypt.

Going down the Andes in Chile just after leaving Argentina.

Syria.

Kakadu national park, Australia.

So close, so far away. Aqaba, Jordan and Eilat, Israel.

Somewhere in Cappadocia, Turkey.

A fatal accident in Botswana. A truck from the same company had left our camping ground just before us…

Returning to Reykjavik from Snæfellsnes peninsula, Iceland.

Jordan.

The end? South Africa.
